FAQ
Where do you meet?
The Trailhead Baptist Church family presently meets weekly, Sunday mornings, 10:30 am in the Upper Hall of the Silver Threads Seniors Centre (1163 Victoria Street, Petawawa). Visitors are encouraged to park in the available lot, enter through the main entrance, and take the staircase upstairs. A lift is also available for those who require it.
What should I expect on Sunday morning?
Recognizing that Trailhead Baptist Church gathers in Petawawa, some people ask if Trailhead is a ‘military church’ – – and while a great number of our church family do serve in the Canadian Armed Forces, we are first and foremost a ‘family-friendly church’ and welcome all people from Petawawa and the surrounding area to worship with us.
What should i wear?
There is no dress code at Trailhead – – so please, dress comfortably, and expect to see more t-shirts and sneakers, than jackets and ties.
What translation of the Bible do you use?
Pastor Tim’s preference is to use the The English Standard Version of the Bible (the ESV), when preaching. We have extra bibles available for people to use; and we also aim to have the biblical passages that are read on Sunday morning, displayed up front for the church family as well. If you do not have a bible of your own; please speak with Pastor Tim, and he can provide you with one to take home.
What about my kids?
Though we do not currently have a staffed nursery at Trailhead, the hall where we gather has an adjoining room that is set up for busy infants and toddlers, with some added privacy for nursing mothers. Should parents like to personally stay in the worship service, we also set up a playmat at the back of the room for infants to roll upon. Partway through the worship service, children ages JK to Grade 4 are dismissed to a hall located downstairs, for a age-dedicated children’s program of their own.
