Our History

Trailhead Baptist Church began as a church plant birthed from out of the ministry of Calvary Baptist Church in nearby Pembroke. After serving close to seven years as part of Calvary’s pastoral team, in the Fall of 2014, Pastor Tim Roddick began leading monthly Saturday evening worship services at the Petawawa Civic Center in an effort to broaden the scope of our mission to passionately share Christ with others. Receiving ample affirmation from both the Calvary church family and the community of Petawawa that God was indeed calling Pastor Tim and his wife Stephanie to develop deeper roots, and form an ongoing ministry in the area, Calvary, Pembroke sought to establish a more permanent Gospel-centered community of faith in Petawawa.

On November 1st, 2015, God graciously opened doors for Trailhead Baptist Church to begin holding weekly Sunday morning worship services at Valour School in Petawawa; our church family having since moved into our present home at The Silver Threads Seniors’ Club. By the power of the Holy Spirit and through the grace of God, on January 1st, 2023, Trailhead matured from a daughter church into a sister of our friends from Calvary, developing into a growing community of faith that is now able to sustain itself.
